MEET TINA
Tina Brikland Borsheim is a professional fine art photographer located near Stavanger in Norway.
Tina sees herself not just as a photographer, but as an artist. She creates art and truly believes that everyone is deserving of having beautiful artwork of them selves or their loved ones printed big on their walls. Self portraits are a huge part of Tinas artistic journey. It was during the process of creating a portrait for herself she really found her voice as an artist. And for the first time she had a portrait where she felt beautiful. She really wants her clients to feel the same, and loves creating artwork for them to cherish for the rest of their lives.
"- I wish I could paint, but I can’t. So I create my scene, capture it with my camera and do my artistic final touch in Photoshop. I truly believe the magic is in the light, colours and styling - the editing is just the final touch that makes it all come together and create that painterly look I really love", Tina says.
Her journey as a fine art photographer started when she got chronically ill. She needed a place where she could just be her, without limitations. So she dusted of her old camera and ventured out into the world to find magic once again. Photography gives her a space where she can be creative and free. Her portraits are moody, timeless and with a sprinkle of magic. She creates with her heart and loves to inspire others to do the same. There’s only one you, dare to be different!
TINA'S TOP 3 SIGMA LENSES
SIGMA 50mm F1.2 DG DN | Art
- If I had to choose only one lens for my fine art studio portraits this would be it! It feels good, looks good and delivers like crazy! It’s super sharp and super fast.
I have a tiny studio and this focal length gives me the opportunity to capture both beautiful close ups and full body shots without distortion. My absolute favourite!
Having an f-stop at 1.2 makes it an amazing lens for low light conditions, or if you really want to play around being creative with depth of field. The bokeh is so creamy, and even wide open It’s super sharp.
SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN | Art
- The 24-70mm F2.8 is also a really nice lens for studio work. It gives me the freedom to change my composition without moving around.
This comes really handy working with children and pets that tend to be a bit all over the place! I loved using it for my newborn sessions as well.
Babys safety is always the most important, and with the 24-70mm I could get those really nice close ups of baby at the same time as I could get the full body images with out having to move out of reach of the baby.
A super versatile lens!
SIGMA 24mm F2 DG DN | Contemporary
- This is my ”go-to” lens when traveling. Its small size makes it perfect for travel and street photography. I am a wide-angle-type of photographer who likes being close to my subjects. Also since it is so bright I can use it during any lighting conditions.
